Ellie is the Chief Planning Officer in the Dean's Office and manages a small group that provides comprehensive, ongoing planning support for the School of Humanities and Sciences. The group completes routine and ad hoc management reports and projects to assist H&S in decision making and resource allocation. They also lead key annual processes, such as faculty salary setting, and serve as the primary contact for internal and external data requests.

Before joining the staff, Ellie received her master's degree from the Stanford School of Education in administration and policy analysis. Her prior experience was working in health care. When she is not at Stanford, Ellie enjoys volunteering, sailing, reading, cooking, and traveling with her husband and daughter.

Margaret is responsible for providing analysis of key drivers in the School to support the decision making of the Dean and Senior Associate Deans. She serves as the expert in cross-functional reports that consolidate information from facilities, faculty, finance, human resources, sponsored research, and student data sources. She is collaborating with H&S IT to build an H&S historical database of summarized data from a cross section of data sources to facilitate rapid and consistent analysis. She also liaises with Institutional Research and Decision Support (IR&DS) to ensure that her reports are consistent with the data and reports they provide. She maintains the H&S organizational structure in the Budget Office Admin Org Code Hierarchy file. She also assists with other Planning Team, H&S Dean’s Office, and University projects.

Janeen leads the administrative team in the Office of the Dean of Humanities and Sciences and is the assistant to Debra Satz, Dean of the School of Humanities and Sciences. 

Janeen began her career at Stanford in 2006 in the H&S Dean's Office. In 2008, she moved to a role supporting the Stanford Arts Institute and helped support the opening of the Bing Concert Hall in January of 2013. She returned to H&S in November of 2013.

Outside of work, Janeen enjoys running, reading, and watching sports.

Working closely with the Graduate and Undergraduate Studies (GUS) team, Leanna is responsible for providing analysis of key academic drivers in the School to support the decision making of the Dean and Senior Associate Deans. She serves as the expert in student data and reporting, providing reports for Departments and liaising with Institutional Research and Decision Support (IR&DS), as well as managing surveys and other assessment projects.  She also assists with other Planning Team, H&S Dean’s Office, and University projects.

Compliance Manager

Annabel Hellekson is the compliance manager in the dean's office for the School of Humanities and Sciences. Annabel works cooperatively with H&S department staff and central university staff to provide advice and information on compliance-related matters as well as to resolve and monitor compliance-related issues.

Before joining the Stanford team, Annabel worked at Washington State University, and has over ten years of compliance knowledge from her time in healthcare administration. Annabel holds a master's degree in public administration and a doctorate in education from the University of Mary. 

When she's not at Stanford, Annabel enjoys spending time outdoors with her spouse and dogs, hiking, kayaking, and skiing.

Tim works to advance the data and analytics strategy for the School of Humanities & Sciences (H&S). 

Prior to joining H&S, he served as the Director of Business Analytics & Solutions in Stanford’s Residential & Dining Enterprises organization, the Director of Decision Support in the Office of the Vice Provost for Strategic Planning and Educational Effectiveness at Loyola Marymount University, and the Associate Director of Enterprise Information Systems in Information Technology at Pepperdine University.

Tim began his career at the E-commerce pioneer, BizRate.com, serving as IT architecture lead. He holds a Master of Business Administration and Graduate Certificate in Financial Analysis and Valuation from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Pepperdine University.

When not at Stanford, Tim enjoys relearning the joy of simple things in life with his daughters such as learning guitar and ukulele, baking pies and other goodies, and introducing them to Go and other board games.

Lynette provides strategic planning support for HSDO programs and departments by coordinating activities for initiatives undertaken by H&S. Some of the initiatives and activities include department external reviews, faculty housing exceptions, COVID-19 impact reporting and facility security activity.  In addition, she provides hands-on support for H&S faculty training events and conferences. 

Lynette is responsible for evaluating the day to day activities of the Planning team to identify, recommend and execute programmatic improvements and efficiencies.  She serves as the liaison and subject matter expert between the Planning team and specific departments and units within the university.  Lynette also provides ad hoc support to the Chief Planning Officer as needed.
